Explain the relationship between stress, physical health, and mental health as it relates to subjective well-being as concretely evidenced by the text.

I did not make any changes to my blog post.  The classmate that reviewed my blog post suggested that I add a contact page with additional contact information, provide a photo of myself and list experience or special projects that I have done in my professional career.  while I think that adding a contact page with my photo is a good idea, I did not change my page because I did not want any of my current clients to be able to google me and have my personal information. I did not add a section with special projects because I have not participated in any thus far in my career.

When an individual experiences stress in his or her life and does not have appropriate coping skills to utilize, it can have a negative effect on their physical and mental health. When an individual is stressed it can affect their ability to sleep and their eating habits which has a direct affect on physical health.  It can also increase an individual’s risk for chronic illness or specific diseases and cardiovascular decline. Broderick and Blewitt (2015) report that an individual experiencing chronic stress are likely to have a decline in their immune system.  It can have an effect on someone’s emotional health, increasing their likely to make poor decisions or experience intensified reactions to stressful situations. When someone’s physical health declines, this can add to more stress, which can lead to more emotional turmoil.
